KEY POINTS:
The makers of a film about Jesus' life say the movie will go ahead in New Zealand, after "financial issues" have delayed production since last year.
Kingdom Come spokesman Ernie Malik said film-makers were seeking bridge financing for "outstanding creditor debts".
Funding was expected in two weeks, with pre-production work expected to start next month and filming in April, he told the Dominion Post.
Doubts were cast about the movie's future after moteliers in Twizel, South Canterbury, were sent emails cancelling bookings saying shooting would not now go ahead.
The film's New Zealand director Dean Wright was a visual effects supervisor on The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and Prince Caspian.
