KEY POINTS:
Thousands of pamphlets were dropped through letterboxes in Hamilton yesterday outlining who can help police find kidnapped 6-year-old boy Jayden Headley.
Many of the flyers were distributed to suburbs where members of the Headley family live.
Jayden's father Chris Jones said he welcomed yesterday's pamphlet drop appealing for his son's return.
He was frustrated over the lack of progress being made.
While he had not seen the pamphlet, Mr Jones said he understood it contained statements from a website, set up in an effort to return Jayden home.
The Herald contacted Mr Jones' brother Mark yesterday, who confirmed he had organised the flyers to be distributed around Hamilton.
"I have helped set it up and been part of it," he said.
"I helped webmaster the site. There have been about 4000-5000 pamphlets dropped."
Hamilton Detective Senior Sergeant Chris Page said: "Anything that assists in bringing Jayden back is good."
The boy's grandfather Dick Headley faces kidnap charges after Jayden as snatched from outside Hamilton Public Library on August 18.
Last year Mr Headley was one of several people ordered to either produce Jayden or tell the court why they could not.
Jayden's mother Kay Skelton has been in jail since October for contempt of court, for refusing to reveal where her son is.
At the time of the kidnapping Jayden was in the custody of his father. Jayden is believed to be somewhere in Northland with Mr Headley.
