KEY POINTS:
The mother of abducted youngster Jayden Headley looks set to stay in prison over Christmas on contempt charges after the High Court yesterday threw out an application to have her released.
Kay Skelton, jailed in October after she refused to say where her son was, appeared before Justice Patrick Keane in Auckland.
She had sworn an affidavit saying she did not know where Jayden was in October, nor where he was now.
Jayden was allegedly snatched from the Hamilton Public Library on August 18 by Nikala Taylor, a friend of Skelton.
It is understood he is being held by his maternal grandfather, Dick Headley, in Northland, but the police have not been able to find them.
