The father of a missing six-year-old Hamilton boy has welcomed a pamphlet drop appealing for his son's return, saying he is frustrated over the lack of progress in bringing his son home.
Jayden Headley's grandfather Dick Headley faces kidnap charges after six-year-old Jayden was snatched from outside Hamilton Public Library in August.
Jayden's mother Kay Skelton has been in jail since October for contempt of court, for refusing to reveal where her son is.
At the time of the kidnapping Jayden was in the custody of his father.
Jayden is believed to be somewhere in Northland with Headley.
Jayden's father Chris Jones said he was surprised by the pamphlet drop around Hamilton today but believed his brother and his friends may have organised it.
While he had not seen the pamphlet, Mr Jones said he understood it contained statements from a website, set up in an effort to return Jayden home.
Mr Jones said he was not behind the pamphlet drop but welcomed any action which would put pressure on the Headley family to return his son.
Hamilton Detective Senior Sergeant Chris Page said he was not aware of the pamphlet.
He added: "Anything that assists in bringing Jayden back is good."
