A former National staffer who resigned following the release of Nicky Hager's book Dirty Politics has re-appeared with a new job.
Jason Ede was a central figure in Dirty Politics and reportedly a key contact between Whale Oil blogger Cameron Slater and the National party.
He formerly worked in the Prime Minister's office and resigned from working on the National party campaign following the release of the book.
Fairfax today revealed that Mr Ede is now a contractor for Teamtalk, a listed telecommunications company.
The company has strong links to the National Party and managing director David Ware told Fairfax the decision to use Mr Ede as a contractor was not a political decision.
