A Japanese woman has gone missing in Auckland, having last been seen dropping her young daughter at a daycare centre yesterday morning, police said.
Risa Matsuura, a 32-year-old New Zealand resident, has not returned to her Princes Wharf apartment in the central city, but was likely to be in the Auckland area.
"Police are very concerned for her welfare and wish to reunite her with her 19-month-old daughter as soon as possible," Inspector Kerry Watson said.
She took her daughter to a daycare centre in Remuera about 8.30am, and has not been seen since.
Ms Matsuura is 1.65m tall and very slim with long black hair which is always tied back.
She was last wearing blue jeans, black jacket, black cap wearing a pink backpack.
