Janet Dawn Meller was a "supermum" who was devoted to her children, her sister Pauline Luxford says.
The 58-year-old worked in The Clinic, which was based in the CTV building, as an osteopath - mostly with children and babies. She died when the building collapsed in the earthquake.
"She's so devoted to her boys, maybe overprotective, but that's what she was like. She'd sent them on lots of personal development courses - she was just a supermum."
Mrs Luxford said Janet was a beautiful willowy blonde, over 180cm tall.
