A Rotorua man who hid a pen camera in a bathroom to film three girls has been sentenced to 12 months' jail.
Former IT technician Simon Nicholas Plaistowe, 47, had pleaded guilty in the Rotorua District Court to making an intimate recording and attempting to make an intimate recording of girls aged between 12 and 17 in Rotorua between 2007 and 2009.
Judge Phillip Cooper said the girls had been severely affected by the film.
