Motorists heading into central Auckland this weekend are being encouraged to pre-plan their journey with the ITU World Triathlon closing several roads.
Some roads will be closed from midnight tonight to prepare for Saturday and Sunday's event.
They include parts of Quay, Lower Albert, Customs, Shortland and Fort Sts and part of Tamaki Drive.
Queen St and some side streets will also be closed. Where possible, managed access will be in place for residents and businesses.
Auckland Transport yesterday encouraged spectators to plan their journey using its website - AT.co.nz - where parking restrictions can also be checked.
