KEY POINTS:
It might not be the end of the world as we know it, but this weekend does mark Auckland's Armageddon.
Armageddon is a packed show of pop culture, running the geek gamut from comics and cult-status TV shows through to a pizza-eating contest.
Having run for over a decade, Armageddon has become a huge deal for fans of games, manga and anime in particular- plus, sometimes the odd Trekkie will show up.
This year includes a huge roll-call of invited guests including Chris Judge (Stargate SG1), Connor Trinneer (Star Trek Enterprise), Chris Rankin (a Weasley brother in the Harry Potter films) and Dead Like Me star Ellen Muth.
Comic fans can meet writers and artists from Terra to Wonder Woman and co-creator of Witchblade and Darkness David Wohl.
We caught up with Billy West, the extremely talented voice artist behind most of Futurama's characters, and the disgusting duo Ren and Stimpy - watch the video by clicking the link on the page.
Armageddon runs this weekend (October 20-22nd) and single day family passes (two adults and two children) cost $42, an adult day ticket is $16.
