Wairarapa's Marcus Daniell has struck up a successful partnership with his Taipei partner Ti Chen on the International Tennis Federation professional tennis circuit.
They won a doubles title in Ramat Hasharon, Israel, over the weekend, their second in two weeks.
Daniell and Chen dropped only five games en route to the semifinals where they defeated the top-seeded British pair 6-3, 6-2 and their victory in the final was equally decisive. They accounted for Israel pair Noam Okun and Aviv Ben Shabat 6-0, 6-2. Okun was once ranked in the top 100 singles players in the world.
Daniell has now won nine doubles titles on the ITF circuit and his world doubles ranking should advance to around 470.
