Second run
The second annual Honda Poker Run will be held on Saturday, November 6. Contested over two Auckland harbour courses, the run includes a lunch break at the Viaduct Basin. Entries do not have to be Honda-powered. Details are available via email from concepts@ihug.co.nz. First prize is a trip for two to the Gold Coast. A special family quiz prize has been added for this year.
Restoration forum
The 2004 Yacht Restoration Symposium will be held at Newport, Rhode Island, from September 10 to 12. Hosted by the International Yacht Restoration School, it will provide training about yacht restoration techniques, projects and products, including a presentation on the full restoration of the 125ft Victorian Class schooner Coronet, now in progress at the IYRS campus.
