Florida-based photographer Stanley Rosenfeld, who took his first America's Cup pictures in 1930, will be inducted posthumously into the America's Cup Hall of Fame in Auckland on February 17. Rosenfeld died on November 23, aged 89. He covered yachting for nearly seven decades and took some of the most famous America's Cup pictures.
Buddy boost
English magazine Yachting Life has given Paihia company Guardian Marine a big boost with a positive review of the firm's New Zealand-designed and made Anchor Buddy. Sailor Dave Morgan tested the system throughout the northern summer on the Scottish coast. He said it was easy to use and effective in all conditions.

The WaterSafe Auckland and MAI FM Safe Summer teams will be at Red Beach today and the Parakai Pools, Helensville tomorrow between 10am and noon. They will be emphasising the basic "swim between the flags" and "always supervise children" messages with the help of competitions and interactive action.
