Annapolis-based Bruce Farr is the third New Zealand designer to have his work recognised at the National Maritime Museum. The Jim Young and Des Townson tributes set the standard with successful displays of each man's work running from April 16.
Now the spotlight is on Farr, whose designs have been winners on the international yacht-racing stage as well as with top-of-the-range production yachts.
These include the Beneteau First 3.67, named Boat of the Year in 2002. Farr boats will be in the marina and boatbuilder Kim McDell will review his work today from 2pm. The Farr exhibition runs until May 23.
