Broadcaster, marine historian and all-round old boat enthusiast Bill McCarthy has produced the first of a series of classic yacht videos. In the Beginning, The Logans tells the story of this country's most famous boatbuilding dynasty and includes archive and action footage that has never been seen. Released too late for inclusion as a Christmas stocking-stuffer, the $25 video will be appreciated by those who value this country's nautical history for the sailing pictures as well as the story it tells. Available from the National Maritime Museum or from the producer at maccom@xtra.co.nz.
