KEY POINTS:
The Herald is asking high-profile people about their environmental friendliness.
This week: Actress Robyn Malcolm
What are you doing personally to make a difference?
Walking where possible. I drive a small car with a small, well-tuned engine.
I recycle and compost everything. I keep my pleasures simple, low maintenance and fuel-free.
I grow some of my veges, and buy organic where possible. I know it's often more expensive but it's an industry worth actively supporting.
I heat the house efficiently. Insulation is a big one, and I wear a good jersey if it gets too cold.
Talk, talk, talk around the issue. It's all about consciousness.
What more could you do?
Simplify more. Acquire less.
What is your biggest environmental sin?
My car. My need for convenience overrides my long-term sense or responsibility towards the environment I live in. And I turn on too many heaters when I'm tired and cold.
Global warming - true or false?
