KEY POINTS:
A computer problem led to planes being grounded throughout NZ yesterday.
The Airways Corporation said it decided to ground all planes waiting to depart so it could switch to a back-up system.
But it meant the air traffic control radar was switched off for about 10 minutes, when 100 commercial flights were in the air.
It said there was never any danger.
