KEY POINTS:
Sixteen people and three dogs are continuing the search for Israeli tourist Liat Okin today, as her brother pleads for more people to help.
The police search was called off last week for the 35-year-old, who has been missing for more than a month after setting out to tackle Fiordland's Routeburn Track.
Her family is running its own private search but says it needs funding and resource help from the community.
Ms Okin's brother Itmar Tas said the response from the public had been fantastic, but as the hunt goes on they need more searchers to cover shifts.
He said they were covering all possibilities by searching off the track.
