Waiheke's water woes have led to the local radio station offering free hot showers.
Residents on the island have been having to conserve and manage their water following a shortage of supply and rain.
People have been advised to take shorter showers, check leaky taps and use recycled water for
the garden to help conserve water.
The local radio station - Waiheke Radio - has been offering free hot showers to people and the move has proved popular.
Co-host Simon Mansfield said the station wanted to help out. The only thing people needed was their own soap and towel.
