As Shelly Stockman was leaving Newmarket on Monday at 5pm, a vehicle stopped in front of her with dad in the driver's seat, mum in the back and a small child on dad's lap, playing "drive the car". "I thought that was mad behaviour on Auckland roads at rush hour. But I couldn't believe my eyes when they headed on to the Southern Motorway. To the driver of the navy Honda and the woman in the back seat, you need your heads read."

Is there no end to the usefulness of Botox? It freezes the faces of the wealthy, Sharon Stone wanted it for her son's sweaty feet, and now doctors are using it to cure the pain endured by high-heeled shoe wearers. Tell the reader who was duped at GPK for the $10 tip that she can contact her credit card company and have the transaction charged back (effectively dishonoured) to GPK, a reader advises. "The merchant/GPK has no right to add a tip to the bill, and the reader will have his/her original receipt to prove the amount. Does GPK have a policy displayed that they add $10 to the bill for tipping?"

In response to a reader's note yesterday, GPK general manager Julie White writes: "We take full responsibility for the unfortunate billing error. It was confused for another $10 gratuity left by another customer for a similar bill around the same time. We did ring the reader the next morning to sort this out but it seems the message was not passed on. I have since delivered the $10 back to the customer."
