Ten Signs You Have Grown Up:
1. Your houseplants are alive, and you can't smoke any of them.
2. Having sex in a twin bed is out of the question.
3. You keep more food than beer in the fridge.
4. 6am is when you get up, not when you go to bed.
5. You hear your favourite song in an elevator.
6. You watch the Weather Channel.
7. Your friends marry and divorce instead of "hook up" and "break up".
8. You go from 130 days of vacation time to 14.
9. Jeans and a sweater don't qualify as "dressed up".
10. You're the one calling the police because those &$@($&*# kids next door won't turn down the stereo.

A teenager who had "mum" tattooed on her back in Chinese was horrified to find it really said: "Friend from hell." The Daily Mirror reports that Charlene Williams, 19, only found out something was wrong when a passing Chinese woman shouted: "Evil, evil, very bad." Charlene said: "I was shocked and angry. Dad joked it said chicken chow mein. It was worse than that." She paid £10 for the tattoo four years ago in Poole, Dorset. The tattooist did not know letters change meaning when put together. Charlene has now covered it with a leaf design tattoo. (Source: Ananova.com)

A poll of Europeans showed people of different nationalities liked each other more after getting to know each other, except in the case of the British - who became less popular. The project involved 362 citizens from 27 EU states who were asked their views on how much they liked or disliked German, French, Polish, Italian, British and Spanish people. The Spaniards were most popular with 78.6 per cent. The Poles the least with 67 per cent. But all nationalities gained in popularity, except the British who went from a 70.3 per cent approval rating at the start of the weekend to 68.1 per cent by the end. Professor James Fishkin of Stanford University who developed the polling technique used said he did not think France's defeat by England in the rugby World Cup semifinal in between the two polls had had an influence, though the number of French participants in the survey was disproportionately high.
