Wedding costs balloon
Randall and Kelli offered to help some friends keep their costs down at their wedding by filming and photographing for free.
"It has turned into a bit of a nightmare. While snapping pics of them at Musick Pt last Saturday, someone broke into our Honda Civic and took a camera, tripod and the laptop containing the ceremony pictures that we had just taken, and one of the videotapes of the ceremony. Some of the items were borrowed or rented and our insurance will not cover them. We're faced with a bill for thousands of dollars we don't have, right before Christmas. We'd be happy to receive the goods back, no questions asked. We can even offer a small reward for their safe return. Email us at whereisourstuff@gmail.com if you can help."
Valuable vest
Kereopa lost his oilskin vest last Saturday at Wellsford Caltex. It had his bike registration, warrant of fitness and keys in the pocket. If you have any information on its whereabouts, please email Sideswipe.
Child's play
A reader writes, "I've just seen a billboard advertising the services of the Auckland Kindergarten Association, featuring a smiling child above the text, 'I love going to kindergarten because I get to play on the computers'. When did the idea that children went to kindergarten to learn how to socialise with each other go out the window?"
