Money well spent?
Dee writes: "After investing time, effort (and a not inconsiderable amount of money) studying at the University of Auckland Business School, I have now completed their Post Graduate Diploma in Business. Imagine my response when I received an email from the Business School yesterday headed 'Congradulations, you are eligible to graduate'."

Slim pickings for some
The following was spotted in the December 28 edition of The Informer, the Whitianga weekly rag. Under Whitianga Police Report:
Occurrences
"An umbrella was stolen from a residential address on the Esplanade on the 13th ..." And another one - "On the 15th, a hose and sprinkler were also stolen from Mercury View, Matarangi."
As you can see, there is some pretty bad crime in the Whitianga area.

One school of thought
Dennis recently attended a conference at Auckland Grammar. He writes, "I always look for instructions on what to do and where to meet in an emergency. I thought the second instruction in regards to earthquakes was a spelling mistake, until looking around I found the same instruction. 'Keep away from widows'. Should be easy at a boys' school."
