We've had padded bras for 8-year-olds, T-shirts with sexual slogans and now high-heeled shoes for babies. Yes, the tiny stilettos, called Heelarious Heels, come in hot pink, black and leopard print and are for babies up to 6 months old. The American entrepreneurs say the heels are only for show and will collapse if any pressure is put on them. The US$35 ($47) shoes, which come in six different styles, are on sale at over 50 stores in America, Canada and Switzerland.

A reader writes: "Took my son to Ponsonby junior training Tuesday evening because some All Blacks would be there. Ali, Keven, Sione, Tony and Leon were swamped by adoring young fans eager for autographs on anything not tied down. Off to the side stood Bee Gee Williams, observing the activity. Some savvy parents pointed him out and soon a queue formed in front of the legend. One youngster, obviously there at the insistence of mum or dad, dutifully presented his paper, got the signature and after reading it asked, 'Are you Ali Williams' brother?' Without missing a beat and with just the hint of a chuckle, Bee Gee answered, 'Yes, but I'm the good-looking one'."

Co-worker nightmare: A 43-year-old mother of three, Theresa Bailey, filed suit after being accosted by male staff of a direct marketing firm in Kent. According to a Daily Mail story, Bailey wrote a letter to the company director, saying, "The number of times the person at my side would lift up his bottom off the chair and fart and think it's funny is unreal." Among other offences, the "laddish" co-workers told her to wear an "I'm simple" badge when she had computer problems and threw a beach ball at her head. The court awarded Bailey £5000 ($13,000).

My mum had a chuckle the other day at a Manurewa Mobil petrol station. With her petrol, mum purchased a couple of ice-blocks but was told if she purchased something else (to make her total miscellaneous purchases a sum of $5) she would receive a discount on the petrol. So with this in mind she purchased the New Zealand Women's Weekly at an extra cost of about $3, to which the shop assistant delightfully told her, "There, now you've got a $2 petrol discount."

Marnina Norys was trying to board a plane at Canada's Kelowna Airport when security noticed her necklace. It had a 4.5cm silver replica of a Colt .45 on it. A security agent told her she couldn't board the plane with that on. She pointed out it couldn't actually shoot anyone. "It's what it represents," said the agent. Officials were unapologetic about the incident. (Source: Reason.com)
