The dangers of emailing a response in a fit of rage were fully demonstrated by the owners of The Gourmet Food store (and a marquee company before that), yet people let rip without considering the consequences. Here's an exchange between two colleagues in Grafton: "Hi Judi. Today I got towed from the level 2 carparks. Granted I was parked on the right-hand side, which is not [NAME OF COMPANY]. My point is I never got the courtesy email to ask me to move it like everybody else does. This cost me $200 and it damn well hurt like hell. Worse than this, I was mocked by a hideous scruffy bunch of losers which are Auckland Towing. Just wanted you to know. Kind regards, Glenda." Judi responds with a tirade: "WHAT are you getting so VEHEMENT at me for, lady - I have absolutely NOTHING to do with it so get off your vitriolic high horse and find out who did TOW you and stop blaming me. I have better things to do than worry about wanky carparks but if someone complains I try to help out. IT IS NOT MY JOB, you rude bitch!! No wonder the towies mocked you - performing like a psycho - take a look at yourself - YOU WERE IN THE WRONG!!! Leave me out of your pathetic little scraps and don't contact me again otherwise I will lay a harassment charge against you - you horrible person. And in case you haven't got the message - I don't care!!"

Bunny business ... police suspect a serial rabbit killer in Germany may be using satellite images on Google Earth to find victims. Up to 40 rabbits have been killed in Dortmund and Witten - and in almost all the attacks the killer decapitated the pets and bled them dry. Police hunting the killer warned that many animals had been snatched from cages away from public view, suggesting the killer might be using satellite images from the internet to track them down. Now, pet owners are taking extreme measures, protecting their rabbits with locks and alarms and hiding them in cellars or garages to avoid the killer. Police said they feared that the assassin could be a Satanist.

A Japanese labour bureau has ruled that one of Toyota's top car engineers died from working too many hours. The man, 45, had been under severe pressure as the lead engineer in developing a hybrid version of Toyota's blockbuster Camry line, said Mikio Mizuno, the lawyer representing his wife. The man's identity is being withheld at the request of his family. In the two months before his death, the man averaged more than 80 hours of overtime a month, according to Mizuno. He often worked nights and weekends, was frequently sent abroad and was grappling with shipping a model for the North American International Auto Show in Detroit when he died of ischaemic heart disease in January 2006. The ruling would enable his family to collect benefits from his work insurance, Mizuno said. (Source: AP)
