A blow to Freedom: Louise writes, "In an effort to bring some cheer to the users of the Albany Park'n Ride on Thursday (and to promote the opening of their new Freedom store in Albany), a couple of representatives were busy handing out bright yellow gerberas when they were asked to leave the premises by a security guard. Commuters looked on in astonishment as the flower girls were escorted from the premises."

Customer reviews on Amazon.com have made this Three Wolf Moon T-shirt an internet phenomenon. Sales of the kitsch black shirt have increased 2300 per cent since someone made this witty comment: "I walked from my trailer to Wal-Mart with the shirt on and was immediately approached by women. They knew from the wolves on my shirt that I, like a wolf, am a mysterious loner who knows how to 'howl at the moon' from time to time ... if you catch my drift," said Brian Govern. Sales have gone from two a day to 100 an hour.
