Carol Hogg writes: "My daughter lives in Noosa, Queensland and she sent me this photo. The delivery guys refused to take the new fridge up the stairs of her home, instead they did this. Only trouble was then it was too big to fit in the hole where the old one sat, more demolition."

Maria wonders if any other readers get annoyed by all the anti-bacterial ads on TV? "I'm talking about the Protex 'Wash, wash, wash, bacteria are everywhere, you might get sick, wash, wash, wash' ad. I'm not a doctor but I think this is going over the top. Isn't it bad to protect ourselves from all bacteria? How are we supposed to work up an immune system to the less harmless, common bacteria and viruses? The ad shows that a telephone handle is contaminated and you should wash your hands after using the phone at home ... If we have to wash our hands after simple activities such as that, then going out in any public space like shops, cinemas and restaurants must be close to lethal! People for centuries lived without Protex and the human race still continues!"

A Japanese DVD Crying Girl is footage of 11 minor female celebrities crying real tears as they recount some upsetting experiences. Some of the stories are trivial - one woman saw a bad picture of herself in a magazine (she's a model), but others delve a little deeper - one is sad, about her friend with breast cancer. The DVD is for men, designed to bolster their feelings of masculinity by experiencing the weakness of beautiful women.

In Australia feuds among neighbours in high-rise blocks are on the rise, with tables, chairs and even used nappies being used as missiles in balcony wars. But that's just run of the mill stuff compared to these disputes. A complaint by an apartment-dweller relating to noisy geese was reported and an investigation discovered a neighbour was keeping birds, which he said were to feed his dogs. In another case, a resident awoke to find an "evil" effigy of himself staring out the window of his neighbour's unit across the courtyard. The neighbour initially told officials it was an artwork, before agreeing to remove it. (Source: The Sunday Telegraph)
