Is New Zealand a rip-off? It's the issue that got our readers talking last week, with more than 230 comments posted on an opinion piece by British writer Peter Bills, who asserted - among other things - that New Zealand cities were leading a "grab what you can, make a killing" attitude towards visitors.
But how bad are things really? Are our prices fair or over-inflated?
To try and find out, nzherald.co.nz is running an informal survey.
Wherever you are in the world, you can contribute by emailing us or by posting a comment on our Facebook page or replying to us on Twitter.
What we'd like to know is how much you currently pay for a long black, flat white, or bottle of Heineken or Stella Artois at your local cafe/bar.
Please also include the name of the cafe/bar and the city it's in.
