Herald columnist Brian Rudman says the rest of New Zealand owes Auckland for all the tax revenue that has flowed out of the country's biggest city over the years.
His comments come after the Government has announced it will scrap regional fuel taxes - including Auckland's which was to increase to 9.5c a litre in two years - and replace them with an increase in the national petrol tax.
