One person was taken to North Shore Hospital with moderate burns last night after this blaze in Torbay Heights.
The house involved was destroyed. A Northern Fire Communications spokesman said the fire, on Topliss Drive, started about 7pm and was well under way by the time firefighters arrived.
The cause of the blaze is being investigated.
