Having him as Prime Minister might horrify you, but having Winston Peters round for dinner is another matter.
The sneaking regard some of you hold for the MP for Tauranga as a convivial chap is revealed in a special Herald-DigiPoll survey in which respondents were asked which leader of five parliamentary parties they would prefer to invite to a dinner party "if they had to".
Helen Clark, who likes a good curry, came out tops, with 35 per cent favouring the Prime Minister as their guest.
But Mr Peters, who is partial to a bit of fish, was second with 20 per cent, just ahead of Bill English, whose favourite meal is fish and chips, on 18 per cent.
The Greens' Jeanette Fitzsimons (nothing GE on the menu, thanks) out-rated her co-leader, Rod Donald, at 9 per cent to 2 per cent.
Act's Richard Prebble was the choice of just 4 per cent.
And 8 per cent of you simply refused point-blank to invite any of them into your home.
