Donald Bowick, who died last month, was widely respected among New Zealand musicians as a pianist, accompanist, teacher and adjudicator.
Bowick was born in Hunterville, graduating with a bachelor of music from Auckland University.
He spent two years in London, performing as a soloist and accompanist, before returning to Auckland to teach music at Dilworth School for 14 years. He is survived by his wife and three children.
