KEY POINTS:
Serious crash investigators were today examining the scene where a 15-year-old Takaka boy was struck by a car.
The boy and his sister were crossing State Highway 60 near Onekaka, 127km northwest of Nelson, when he was hit by the vehicle about 6pm yesterday.
The boy was flown to Wellington Hospital with critical injuries and remains on life support. His sister was uninjured.
Sergeant Rob Crawford of Motueka police said the driver was co-operating with police but it was too early to say if charges would be laid.
