KEY POINTS:
Over a dozen fire appliances were called to a factory fire in the Auckland suburb of Penrose early this morning.
A fire communications centre spokeswoman said emergency services were alerted to the fire at Jones Odell Motor Bodies at 2.36am.
About 15 fire appliances battled the blaze at the truck and coach building business before bringing it under control.
Investigators and a couple of appliances remained at the scene this morning to assess the damage and try to find out how it was started.
