Investigations are continuing into the shooting of a man who was dropped off at Christchurch Hospital over the weekend with a gunshot wound to his head.
The injured man, 40, had known gang connections, and was driven to hospital by two men in a green/blue Subaru station wagon about 1.45am on Sunday.
The car was later found but police were still seeking the identities and whereabouts of the two men.
The 40-year-old man was still in hospital, with his family at his side, a Canterbury police spokeswoman said.
"Investigations into the incident are ongoing," she said.
