An investigation has been launched into how a Gore school fire was sparked last night.
Emergency services were called to the blaze at East Gore Primary School shortly before 8pm.
It gutted a building used by the school as a storage and wet-weather facility. The school planned to be open today.
Detective Sergeant Greg Baird of Gore police said it was too early to say whether the fire was suspicious.
Police are appealing to hear from anyone who might have information that could assist the investigation. They can phone Gore police on 03 203 9300 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
