Investigation into police crash underway

An investigation into a police car crash that injured two officers in Masterton yesterday is underway.

Three officers were travelling in a convoy of police vehicles heading to Wairarapa for an armed offenders squad training exercise when their vehicle crashed into the power pole and knocked it down, north of Greytown about 3.30pm.

Two officers were taken to Masterton Hospital with minor injuries, while the third officer was uninjured.

Police said today that its serious crash unit was investigating the smash.
