Police were today still investigating the fatal stabbing of a man in the Hamilton suburb of Melville.
Police found the 46-year-old critically wounded victim at a Catalina Dr house about 5.45pm on Friday.
He died despite attempts by police and ambulance staff to resuscitate him.
Police are examining a blue and silver Toyota Lucida people-mover, parked in a nearby street following a tipoff from a member of the public.
Hamilton CIB Detective Senior Sergeant Chris Page said it was too early to comment on circumstances surrounding the man's death, as they were still interviewing witnesses from the house.
He did not believe the stabbing was in relation to drugs or gangs.
