Investigation after police car in collision

Police are investigating after a marked police car collided with another vehicle in Nelson this morning.

Preliminary investigations indicated both cars were travelling in the same direction on State Highway 6 at Atawahi, when the driver of the patrol car did a U-turn in front of the following car about 10.45am, Senior Sergeant Stu Koefoed said.

Both cars were moderately damaged.

No one appeared to be injured, Mr Koefoed said.
