Interpol will be used to find the family of a man who died when he was hit by a forklift in the Port of Tauranga last night.
Police said it appeared the 61-year-old port worker may not have seen or heard the forklift when he walked in front of it about 7pm.
His family were overseas and the man's name would not be released until they had been told, said police.
Police and the Department of Labour were both investigating the accident.
