He was granted interim name suppression when he appeared in the North Shore District Court yesterday charged with downloading objectionable material from the internet. Three other men are due to appear in court today.
Meanwhile, in Christchurch, a 45-year-old scientist was the first of six Cantabrians to appear in the Christchurch District Court after being arrested in the crackdown.
