Don't let it be said the Internet Mana Party never came to Wairarapa.
The party's Wellington Central candidate, Callum Valentine, was spotted at the First Union stop work meeting at the Masterton Town Hall on Thursday.
Mr Valentine told the Times-Age the Internet Mana Party was very supportive of workers' rights in New Zealand, especially with their leader Laila Harre being strongly union-orientated. With Ms Harre attending four union meetings in Wellington, Mr Valentine travelled north to speak at Masterton and Palmerston North.
Mr Valentine, who is also the party's social media and online co-ordinator, said they had "a few" members of the Internet Mana Party in Wairarapa.
"I'm not sure there would be a huge number [in Wairarapa] but New Zealand-wide, we're engaging with young people who aren't traditionally involved in politics.
