North Islanders may notice more Air Force aircraft in the skies this week than usual.
Air Force personnel from Australia, New Caledonia, Singapore and the US are in New Zealand for an international training exercise.
It's taking place ahead of the 75th Air Force anniversary air show at Ohakea Air Base this weekend.
Squadron leader Andy Scott says they'll be flying at a low level throughout the North Island.
"It certainly does look a little bit different to see aircraft of this size flying down at 250 feet, it can certainly surprise some people."
