An interim High Court injunction has been issued against ACT leader Richard Prebble, preventing him from revealing details of New Zealand Post's business plan that have not already been made public.
However, the injunction does not stop Mr Prebble from releasing the information in Parliament where he is protected by privilege.
New Zealand Post lawyers at the High Court in Wellington today argued the information Mr Prebble held was commercially sensitive and confidential.
However, Justice Warwick Gendall said much of the business plan's contents had already been discussed publicly by other MPs, including Deputy Prime Minister Jim Anderton.
He ordered an interim injunction until the matter could be heard in full on Friday at 10am. Mr Prebble was not present at the court hearing today and has not yet decided whether to attend on Friday.
