It's been an election full of hashtags, here's what they look like on a map (scroll to bottom of the story for the mobile version).

The map visualises 1400 tweets from the past month.

We've split the hashtags into four categories. There's a significant rise in number of tweets using hashtags on the night of election debates. The screenshot below is from the day of the third debate.

The map only shows small number of tweets - from users allowing geocoding on their data.

Here's the breakdown of the tweets seen on the map by different categories - #votenz (735), #dirtypolitics (457), #forabetternz (143) and #teamkey (132).
