A hearing will take place today between Waikeria Prison management, union representatives and a female warder accused of having an inappropriate relationship with convicted cop killer Carlos Namana.
Sources at the prison last week said that the warder had resigned following the revelation of the affair.
However, a Corrections Department spokesman said the woman had withdrawn her resignation and an employment investigation was underway.
Namana is serving a life sentence for killing Mangakino police constable Murray Stretch in 1999.
