Police and health authorities are investigating into how a mental health patient jumped out of a sixth floor window at Nelson Hospital.
The man, in his 30s, is in a stable condition in the hospital's intensive care unit.
The incident happened yesterday morning after the patient from the hospital's mental health unit got into a sixth-floor diagnostic area, broke a window and jumped out, landing on a cooling tower two floors below.
