Police are making inquiries after a man was taken to Christchurch Hospital with critical injuries.

Police said they were notified at 11.35am on Monday.

They are “working to establish how the man came to be injured”, police said in a statement.

“Police are making inquiries after a person was taken to Christchurch Hospital with critical injuries Monday morning.

“At this early stage of our inquiries, there is no further information available.”
