Walsh is an old hand at the racing game and a recognised expert judge of pace who, once he finds the front, can often encourage his mount to stay there.
Sir Ferrari has not proven to be very flash out of the gates and Walsh will be all-out to correct that and to put Sir Ferrari straight into the race.
Lets Go Fratelli put in another top effort for third at Awapuni last Saturday, being less than a length from the winner Dancing Embers, and has drawn the ace for the 1600m journey in race nine.
Jess Shackleton will be claiming 3kg, another factor in Lets Go Fratelli's favour, so don't be surprised if this fellow returns to the winner's stall.
Aaron Bidlake has both Elusive Tracy and Bella Carolina entered the North Island Challenge Stakes, a feature race of the day which sadly has drawn a field of only seven runners.
Elusive Tracy, owned by Masterton farmer Barry Southey, has had two starts back from a spell without flattering on either occasion but is a capable mare and could surprise.
Bella Carolina went a very ordinary race at Rotorua on May 12 after recording an impressive win a fortnight earlier at Woodville and Bidlake will be expecting better things from her here.
In race three, a Rating 65 sprint, Tauherenikau trainer Frank Stammers has entered Desert Saboteur, and Soueast, from Grant Nicholson's Opaki barn, is also an entrant.
Desert Saboteur would be a longshot chance having shown glimpses of form but Soueast, despite drawing the number one marble, would need to improve her manners to figure in the finish.
On her last two outings she has bucked, being pulled up by David Walker at Woodville and taking no part in the running at Waverley either, that time in the hands of Robbie Hannam.
Hannam will be back on board tomorrow and no doubt a bit wiser over the antics of Soueast.
Wairarapa's only other runner on the day is in race nine where Roger Allen lines up Rapidpower.
She is a capable type who has had two starts back from a lengthy spell and would need to show rapid improvement to figure in the finish.
