Inmate stabbed at Spring Hill prison

A 29-year-old inmate is in a stable condition after a stabbing at Spring Hill Prison.

The prisoner was initially rushed to Waikato Hospital in critical condition, but has stabilised overnight.

It's still unclear what led to the violent incident.
